Cisco Academy Online 2008
Limited Openings exist for students who want to learn about the design, maintenance, and repair of local and wide area computer networks. It provides an excellent foundation for those who wish to pursue a career as a network professional. These jobs are in high demand and are high paying.

Program
Students can potentially earn up to four college credits from CCV for each semester of work. 1 high school credit elective.
Delivery
This program will be available to you at school or home beginning in August 2008. Dr. John Martell, Cisco Academy Instructor at Stafford Technical Center, will supervise it. The course curriculum is available online. Students will interact with Dr. Martell and other students from around the county online daily Monday through Friday. He will also visit each remote site once a month. Visits will fit in with an individual student’s schedule.
Successful candidates need to do the following:
· Pass an entry exam called Accuplacer
· Be concurrently enrolled or successfully pass Algebra 2
· Highly motivated individual with a strong interest in computer networking
· College Preparatory Track
· Be a problem solver and able to work independently
· Have at least one hour of uninterrupted time each day to devote to coursework
· Have access at home or school to a high speed Internet connected computer
