Criteria for 2nd year Students in Video Production 2008-2009
STC programs offer the option of a second year for student interested in pursuing a particular career path through cooperative education, internship and independent learning. The second option in Video Production is student-driven and gives returning students the opportunity to hone their skills and work with professionals in the field. Returning students also act as peer teachers for first-year students and work collaboratively with returning Digital Arts students in the STC Production House. There are two ways in which a student may return to Stafford.
Enroll in a different Stafford program as a first year student
(including Digital Arts)
- Must receive recommendation from current instructor
- Must be passing all academic classes
- Must have an 80% average in their program area
- Must be able to meet sending school graduation requirements
- Not have exceeded maximum allowed absences
Return to Video Production as a second year student
Preference will be given to applicants who
also display or meet the following…
- Meet all criteria listed above and…
- Maintain a 75% average in your academic classes
- Have an 85% or higher average in their program area.
- Develop a typed proposal for a major second year project
- Meet with our program advisory committee for an interview.
- Display dedication, enthusiasm and a drive to pursue video or film production as a career throughout their first year of study.
- Prove to the instructor’s satisfaction that they possess the ability to work well with their peers, clients and STC staff.
Applications must be in to Ms. Cillo by March 15th. You should have all written materials submitted to Mr. Warrender no later than this date.
