Forestry,Natural Resources & Horticulture
The Forestry Program allows students to gain practical skills through introductory experiences with forest products, production and manufacturing, forest recreation, soil and water quality analysis, urban tree management and landscape design/installation.

Class Activities:
- Outdoor laboratories, 4,000 acre Rutland City Watershed, 918 acre Aiken State Forest, and various private lands.
- Career Exploration and related college guidance
- Meet professionals through site visits, field trips, competitions and community service activities.
- Learn about residential landscaping as part of the Student Craft house project.
- Raise seasonal vegetables and landscape plants in the greenhouse.

- US Dept. of Labor Occupational Safety & Health Adm. (OSHA ) 10 Hour Construction Safety Certification.
- Heartsaver CPR
- Wilderness First Aid Certification.
- Game of Logging Certification
- Students completing 90% of the Core Competencies will receive a certificate from STAFFORD TECHNICAL CENTER.
