Explore the world of video production and on-camera performance. This course introduces students to careers that require visual storytelling such as videographer, television/film producer, video editor and on-camera talent such as actor or news reporter. Students, working as part of a professional production crew, write scripts, storyboard, and shoot and edit projects that appear on local television. During the second semester students choose a focus on either acting and directing or camerawork and editing. Our state-of-the-art computer lab features many industry standard editing, image manipulation and compositing software titles. Students practice all phases of production by creating a series of projects that explore the different industries of feature film, music video, commercial, documentary and video art. This program requires students to possess proficient written, communication and visual skills.
